Two-hour meeting was to discuss current political developments in the country
PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Najib Razak today held a closed door meeting with Umno state liaison chiefs at Seri Perdana here.
Vehicles transporting Menteris Besar and Chief Ministers were seen entering Seri Perdana compounds from 5pm.
Spotted among them were Kedah Umno liaison chief Mukhriz Mahathir, Dr Zambry Abd Kadir (Perak),Adnan Yaakob (Pahang), Idris Haron (Melaka), Mohamed Khaled Nordin (Johor), Razif Abdul Rahman (Terengganu), Mohamad Hasan (Negeri Sembilan) and Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman.
Also seen were Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Shahidan Kassim, who is Umno Perlis liaison chief and Selangor Umno liaison chief, Noh Omar.
It was learned that the meeting discussed the current political developments in the country.
Over 40 media representatives gathered outside the entrance of Seri Perdana following the meeting.
When asked by reporters on the purpose of the meeting and the issues to be discussed, Shahidan who had just arrived merely replied “all sorts”.
The meeting lasted about two hours.
Also present at the closed-door meeting were Umno vice-president who is also Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and executive secretary, Abdul Rauf Yusoh.
