Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak appointed Datuk Ahmad Maslan Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry (Miti) in a Cabinet reshuffle today.
Ahmad, who is the Barisan Nasional-Umno member of Parliament for Pontian, will replace Datuk Hamim Samuri.
Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Datuk Lee Chee Leong remain the minister and deputy minister of Miti respectively.
Ahmad was deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department from April 10, 2009 to April 3, 2013 before helming the deputy finance minister portfolio from May 16, 2013.
Ahmad has a Bachelor's in Economy and Political Science from the Victoria University Wellington, New Zealand and a Master’s of Business Administration from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. – Bernama
