KEMAMAN - Former Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said denies that he intends to quit Barisan Nasional, as is being widely rumoured on social media.
Speaking to reporters when met at his Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house in Telok Kalong here, Ahmad said if he wanted to quit, he would have done so a year ago.
"I'm still with BN as well as the Kijal assemblyman. Who spread the rumours that I'm quitting BN? Any decision, wait for the UMNO general assembly," he said, adding that he would still Kijal assemblyman even if he left BN.
Ahmad was succeeded by Seberang Takir assemblyman Datuk Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman, who was sworn in as the new menteri besar on May 12, 2014. – Bernama
