MIC Youth head C. Sivarraajh said among the efforts made were distributing 5,000 pamphlets with details of the student to the public and printing 1,000 posters on A3 size which were put up at shopping centres and banks.
"The search operation will cover areas in the Klang Valley as the police believe the girl is still in the area," he said when approached by reporters at a shopping complex in Batu Caves, Selangor, today.
In this regard, Sivarraajh said about 1,000 MIC Youth members throughout the country would be mobilised to join the search for Jenifer.
“I appeal to the police to speed up investigations to track down Jenifer who has been missing for the past two weeks.
“I also call on anyone who has found Jenifer to hand her over to her parents... if they are afraid, then hand over the girl to the police station," he said.
Jenifer, a student of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Kampung Pandan, was reported missing on her way home from school on June 19. – Bernama
