Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz is glad that Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim does not find him good- looking.
"First of all I am glad he said that. Otherwise, I would have to question his sexuality.
"If a man says another man is good-looking, then we have to question his sexuality, I don't want to question his sexuality," he told Malaysiakini today.
Nazri and the prince have been at loggerheads after the minister warned that Tunku Ismail might be "whacked" if he meddled in politics.
In an exclusive interview with Malaysiakini, the crown prince took a swipe at Nazri, saying the minister is not bright and referred to him as an "empty barrel".
"He is not a very bright fellow, to be honest.
"I have read one statement by him where he said people like to take interest in him (Nazri) because 'I am like a Hollywood star, I am rich, powerful and good- looking'.
"Rich, yes. Powerful, maybe... Good-looking, no. You can quote me on that, I really don't mind," he said.
Not all Johoreans upset
Meanwhile, Nazri also believes that not all Johoreans are upset with his criticism of the prince.
"I know many Johoreans who don't share the same sentiment," he said.
Regarding the police's investigation over his remark, Nazri said he is waiting for the Attorney-General’s Chambers to proceed.
"As a former minister of law, I respect procedure. I didn't even think twice when I was called. I went straight to Bukit Aman (to give my statement)," he said.
A slew of police reports were filed against Nazri after he had chatised the prince.
However, Tunku Ismail, in the Malaysiakini interview, believes that the investigation would amount to nothing.
