Tajuddin: Guan Eng bought bungalow under 'queen control'

PARLIAMENT Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng bought his bungalow in George Town because he is being 'controlled' by his wife, Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Tajuddin Abdul Rahman said.
"Guan Eng is being 'queen controlled'. He bought the bungalow because his wife liked the house," Tajuddin said in the House today.
He said this when replying to a 'pantun' (rhyme) from Che Mohamad Zulkifly Jusoh (BN-Setiu), who had poked fund at Lim's controversial house purchase before asking Tajuddin a question on urban agriculture.
"Banglo mewah murah harganya (A fancy bungalow is cheap).
"Kalau nak belinya mesti ada kuasa (If you want to buy it you must have power)'
"Willing buyer-willing seller, katanya (he says). Soalan saya nombor lima (My question is the fifth)" Che Mohamad had said.
It is a tradition in the House to make a rhyme when asking questions during Question Time.
Lim has come under fire after it was alleged that he bought a bungalow in George Town at RM2.8 million, a price that is said to be way below the market value.
When the scandal first broke, the chief minister had said that he needed his wife's permission before giving the media access to the house, due to privacy concerns.
Lim has denied any wrong-doing in buying the bungalow.
Both Che Mohamad's rhyme and Tajuddin's reply failed to illicit any noticeable response from either side of the House. -Mkini
