Anwar Ibrahim's family won't be seeking parole for the jailed PKR de facto leader, said his daughter Nurul Izzah.
The PKR MP for Lembah Pantai was responding to former Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamad Khir Toyo being granted parole yesterday.
"No. Our case is clear. Anwar is innocent," she told the media at Parliament today.
Instead, she said they had appealed the Pardons Board for the second time.
"But we are also suing the prison authority and the government," she added.
Khir Toyo was granted parole yesterday after serving six months in Kajang Prison for using his position to obtain land and a bungalow nine years ago.
Anwar is serving a five-year jail sentence after he was convicted on Feb 10, 2015, of sodomising his former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
