Khairy: Voting opposition out of anger will not bring development

Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said Sarawakians voting for the opposition out of anger in the May 7 polls will not contribute to development in the state.
"For me, now is not the time to pawn the future. This is the time to give the mandate to the chief minister.
"Because (if voters) vote for the opposition because they are dissatisfied or angry (at the government), it will not have any results in the context of Sarawak's development," he said after officiating BN Youth's election operations centre in Kuching today.
Earlier, Khairy also urged youths to reject the opposition’s culture in Sarawak.
"In Sarawak, we are always advised by local leaders that politics of aggression, sedition, and personal attacks is disliked by Sarawakians.
"We want youths to reject such political culture. This political culture is synonymous with certain political parties - not from BN - but from certain parties.
"Their ceramah is filled with sedition, slander, and personal attacks that are unwelcome in Sarawak," he said.
Urging support for PBB president Adenan Satem, Khairy said the chief minister had brought much change in just two years and still had much unfinished business.
He also praised Adenan as a chief minister who cared for the youths.
Khairy also pointed out that 13 of BN candidates in Sarawak this time were youths, the highest yet for the ruling coalition. -Mkini
