Kit Siang: ‘Smoking gun’ may be in AG’s final report

The DAP veteran wonders whether Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia would report PAC members to police for breaching the Official Secrets Act (OSA) on the Auditor-General's final audit report.

KUALA LUMPUR: It’s a most ludicrous situation where a report was presented to a parliamentary select or standing committee, but not to Parliament, said DAP Parliamentary Leader Lim Kit Siang in a statement. “Pandikar Amin Mulia was probably the only Speaker in the world who barred the presentation of a report in Parliament on the grounds that it was a classified document and official secret.”

“Pandikar should report the PAC Chairman Hasan Arifin as well as all PAC members to the police for having committed breaches of the Official Secrets Act (OSA) when they had access to the Auditor-General’s final audit report.”
