PUTRAJAYA: Thousands of people gathered to celebrate the Prime Minister’s Hari Raya open house festivities at his official residence Seri Perdana.
The crowd began trickling in as early at 9am and patiently waited in line to enter Seri Perdana although the open event was scheduled to start at 10am.
Security was tight with guests having to undergo scans, while their bags were also examined as they entered the premises.
There was also a second security check at the main entrance to the Prime Minister’s official residence.
The Prime Minister’s Hari Raya open house will begin as scheduled and end at 4pm.
Members of the public will be able to meet with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor as well as other Cabinet ministers.
There will be plenty of food for visitors at the specially set up food stalls within Seri Perdana grounds.
Guests will also be treated to cultural performances which will be coordinated by Istana Budaya.
