Rosmah: King Salman enthralled by Permata performance

Prime minister's wife Rosmah Mansor today shared her experience with Saudi Arabia's King Salman Abdulaziz Al Saud when he visited Seri Perdana yesterday.
Rosmah said the king revealed he was enthralled by the choir and Arabic dance performance of children from Permata Seni, the arts division that is part of the gifted children's education programme championed by Rosmah.
King Salman told her this during a luncheon at the prime minister's official residence, she said.
"King Salman asked me who that boy is, the one who was dressed like an Arab, and I told him he is from Permata Seni and he will be performing an Arabic dance soon.
"He was so touched and enjoyed the choir, orchestra and dance performed for him yesterday," said Rosmah, who is also Permata's patron.
She said this after officiating the 35th annual general meeting of the female civil servants and civil servants' wives organisation, Pusapanita, in Putrajaya today.
King Salman arrived in Malaysia last Sunday for a four-day visit.
He arrived with a delegation of 600 people, including members of the royal family and the Saudi cabinet, on the first stop of his Southeast Asia tour.

This is also King Salma's first visit to the region since his coronation in 2015.
The king will witness the signing of a US$7 billion memorandum of understanding between Petronas and Saudi's Aramco today, with his Asia tour reportedly to boost Aramco's US$2 trillion initial public offering.
Meanwhile, Rosmah urged Puspanita members to act as agents of unity and harmony and to ensure government policies and programmes are shared at the grassroots level.- Mkini
