MyPPP reiterates that Kayveas was expelled

PETALING JAYA: There is no question of Tan Sri M. Kayveas withdrawing his resignation letter as he was expelled from the party, says Datuk Mohan Kandasamy.
The MyPPP secretary-general said that the party was firm on its stance that the former president was expelled from the party on Wednesday (April 25).
“MyPPP reiterates its position that he (Kayveas) was expelled from the party on April 25, before the alleged resignation (letter) was brought to the notice of the party. Therefore the issue of any purported resignation or withdrawal does not arise,” said Mohan when contacted Monday (April 30).

He added that the party’s focus now was ensuring the success of Barisan Nasional in GE14 by winning the Segambut seat, which is being contested by MyPPP vice-president Datuk Loga Bala Mohan.
Mohan was responding to Kayveas’ post on Instagram Monday, claiming that he has withdrawn his resignation letter sent on April 23.
"I have no alternative but to withdraw my earlier peaceful and amicable intention to step down which was refused by the Supreme Council and resume all my duties," wrote Kayveas in his post.
He also posted a photo of another letter to the party's Supreme Council members on the withdrawal of his resignation letter, dated April 27, on his social media post.
In the letter, he alleged that there had been an attempt by the party's senior vice-president and secretary-general to hijack the party.
The saga began after Kayveas posted his resignation letter from MyPPP on social media on April 25, saying that he had relinquished all his positions in the party.
The party reacted by calling a press conference the same day to announce that Kayveas had instead been sacked from MyPPP.
MyPPP senior vice president is Datuk Maglin Dennis D'Cruz is the acting president.
