Liew: Gov't yet to determine validity of Musa Aman's medical reports

PARLIAMENT | The government has yet to determine the validity of medical reports of former Sabah chief minister Musa Aman, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Liew Vui Keong.
"At this moment, we have not obtained confirmation as to whether the medical report is genuine or not," he told Dewan Negara during a question-and-answer session today.
"I was made to understand, the medical report came from the United Kingdom and the second (medical report) comes from a private medical centre in Malaysia," he elaborated when met later at the media room.
"It has not been verified by a government doctor," he said.
Musa, who had been out of the country since May and underwent heart bypass surgery in London, returned to Malaysia on Aug 21 and had been seeking treatment at a private hospital in Subang Jaya.
He was then arrested on Thursday, but was subsequently freed on police bail.
The police are investigatinghim for alleged criminal intimidation against Sabah governor Juhar Mahiruddin soon after the 14th general election, which Musa has denied.
The MACC, meanwhile, is reportedly investigating him for allegedly attempting to buy off state assemblypersons following the election.
He had left the country on May 16. - Mkini
