PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim met with Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at his office on Friday (Feb 8).
“Had one of our sessions prior to heading off for some work overseas,” the Port Dickson MP said in a tweet.
The post was accompanied by a picture of both of them in Dr Mahathir's office.
Dr Mahathir has repeatedly said he would hand over the reins to Anwar when he steps down.
The world’s oldest leader at 93 reportedly said in August last year that he expects to be in office for at least two years and would keep his promise to hand over power to Anwar despite calls from his party grassroots to complete a full term in office.
