PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Dr Mahathir has labelled Suhakam’s ruling on the enforced disappearances of pastor Raymond Koh and Amri Che Mat as “heresay”.
At a press conference, Mahathir said evidence must be produced.
Earlier today, the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) had stated that Bukit Aman’s Special Branch was behind the disappearances.
An MP and human rights groups have called for Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Fuzi Harun to be investigated over the enforced disappearances.
Fuzi was the former Special Branch chief at the time.
There have also been calls for former IGP Khalid Abu Bakar to be investigated.
Perlis-based activist Amri went missing in late 2016 while Koh was seen being abducted by several men in broad daylight in February 2017.
