Former home minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has denied ordering the police to abduct Pastor Raymond Koh and Amri Che Mat.
He also said there was no such order from the ministry's chief secretary Alwi Ibrahim.
“There was no such order. I hope investigations will be carried out in a professional manner,” he added.
Speaking to reporters at the Parliament lobby this afternoon, Zahid said he respected the findings of the Suhakam inquiry that found the police's Special Branch responsible for the pair's disappearance.
Amri vanished in 2016, whereas Koh disappeared in 2017.
The police force falls under the purview of the Home Ministry.
