PETALING JAYA: Malaysian should eat more fresh fruits, drink less carbonated drinks and watch their calories during the Hari Raya Aidifitri festivities, says Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (pic).
The Health Minister gave this advice in his Hari Raya message.
"When the morning of Hari Raya Aidifitri arrives and you are preparing for the celebrations, make sure you drink enough plain water and take less carbonated drinks.
"Serve more fresh fruits to visitors and control your calorie intake this Aidifitri," Dzulkelfy said in his minute-long greeting Tuesday. (June 4)
He also advised those travelling to their respective hometowns for the festivities to ensure the cleanliness of their homes to prevent mosquito from breeding.
"Those travelling home should also ensure that they have enough prescription medicine and that they are kept in order to avoid any mix-ups," he added.
Deputy Health Minister Dr Lee Boon Chye also posted a Hari Raya greeting, advising Malaysians to stay safe while travelling and to watch their health.- Star
