SULTAN Muhammad V of Kelantan has welcomed his first child, a boy, on May 21 from his marriage to Russian beauty queen Oksana Voevodina, reported the UK’s Daily Mail.
The child, named Tengku Ismail Leon Petra Tengku Muhammad V Faris Petra, was announced by Voevodina on her Instagram account under the name Rihana Oksana Petra, which she assumed after marriage.
Voevodina posted a photo of baby feet and wrote: “Everything that I was told about the changes occurring with a woman after the birth of a baby is true. This love is special. These feelings are completely new. I am grateful to Allah and my husband for our son. Now there are three of us.”
The sultan and the 25-year-old former model celebrated their marriage with a glamorous public wedding in Moscow last November, while he was still serving as Malaysia’s 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
He became Agong in December 2016 and stepped down in January after news and photos of the wedding went viral.
The Daily Mail reported Voevodina saying that her “true anniversary” of her marriage to Sultan Muhammad V will be this Friday, as they married in a secret Islamic ceremony five months before the public wedding in November.
On her Instagram account, which appears to have been only started recently with just seven posts, Voevodina posted photos of her pregnancy, of which she said is the most important and most difficult period in her life.
She said she had many difficulties carrying the child and spent most of her last trimester in hospital.
