More names to be added on 1MDB forfeiture list, PAS Youth told

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng has reminded PAS Youth that the civil forfeiture list comprising 41 entities which need to return the 1MDB money is not final.
This came after the youth wing recently urged critics who previously accused the party of accepting funds from 1MDB to apologise
"[...] We urge any individual, including ministers, who previously slandered PAS to apologise to the party.
"If they are gentlemen, please apologise. If they respect the people, please apologise," Youth chief Khairil Nizam Khirudin told a press conference on the sidelines of the 65th PAS Muktamar at Sukpa Stadium in Kuantan last week.
Today, Lim stressed that the list was just preliminary.
"There are other names which are yet to be announced.
"We know that Penang Free Club was also not on the list but we knew it was one of the receivers. We can see that the club had admitted and they will pay back the money," Lim told the media in Putrajaya.
"Don't think you can get away when your name is not in the first list," he added.
Yesterday, the Penang Press Club said it would convene an emergency meeting to discuss the possible return of RM50,000 which they received from the 1Malaysia-Penang Welfare Club during a dinner attended by fugitive financier Low Taek Jho, better known as Jho Low.
On June 21, MACC chief Latheefa Koya announced that the commission had filed civil forfeiture suits worth RM270 million against 41 local individuals and groups.
It is the largest forfeiture suit in the nation's history.
Lim said that although the recipients did not know that there were problems with the donation, they still have to return the money to 1MDB.
"Let us (Finance Ministry) ensure that they return the money and provide explanations to the MACC.
"Likely that there are many more names... as 1MDB is a subsidiary company under the Finance Ministry. We will scrutinise the names seriously," he said.- Mkini
