KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad says PPBM is working closely with the Warisan-led Sabah government although the latter is not part of the formal Pakatan Harapan coalition.
Mahathir said Warisan even had three full ministers in the federal Cabinet.
“Even during the recent Sandakan by-election, Warisan did a very big role (in attaining victory for DAP),” he said on arrival here for a visit to Sabah.
Ties between PPBM and Warisan appeared to have cooled after PPBM set up in Sabah, going against an agreement between the two parties before last year’s general election for PPBM not to enter Sabah.
Mahathir was with Sabah Chief Minister Shafie Apdal and other leaders from the state Cabinet at an iftar ceremony at the City Mosque here.
