PETALING JAYA: The price of RON97 petrol will go up by 11 sen a litre from midnight, the finance ministry announced.
RON97 will sell at RM2.49 per litre instead of RM2.38 until July 5.
Prices for RON95 and diesel will remain unchanged, the ministry said. The price of RON95 remains RM2.08 per litre and diesel at RM2.18 per litre.
The government has been subsidising fuel prices to alleviate the cost of living of the people and to stabilise prices, it said.
It will spend RM75.16 million in subsidies to rein in the price of fuel from June 29 to July 5. - FMT
