PETALING JAYA: Health group KPJ Healthcare Bhd says it is helping authorities in their investigation into fraudulent Covid-19 test results supposedly issued by its laboratory and health services company, Lablink (M) Sdn Bhd.
KPJ said the forged documents bearing the Lablink letterhead have been used for cross-border travel, which were discovered by enforcement authorities.
“KPJ and Lablink would like to reaffirm that these were fraudulent and falsified documents, and internal investigations confirm that all these documents were not issued by Lablink,” it said in a statement.
It said all Lablink Covid-19 test results were sent securely and confidentially to patients and customers through established and clear protocols.
“Verification on any Covid-19 test results issued by Lablink can be done by calling Lablink (M) Sdn Bhd at +603 40234588,” it said.
There have been reports recently of people attempting to pass roadblocks using fraudulent health screening documents.
In June last year, police arrested five Bangladeshi men suspected of being involved in the syndication of fake screening documents. - FMT
