COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 3,585 new Covid-19 cases amidst a growing number of patients who require intensive care and ventilators to breathe.
Leading indicators:
- Active cases: 40,574 ↓ (503 less than the previous day)
- Patients in ICU: 280 ↑ (19 more than the previous day)
- Intubated patients: 111 ↑ (10 more than the previous day)
- Deaths: 11
The Klang Valley reported the most number of new cases (54.3 percent) followed by Johor (14.6 percent) and Sabah (8.6 percent).
In Selangor, 187 new cases were detected among individuals without symptoms and are not linked to existing clusters. This is relatively higher, considering that most states are reporting new cases in the double digits only.
Of the 3,585 new cases, 85.2 percent involved Malaysians. There were two import cases.
