Home Minister Hamzah Zainudin is the third cabinet member to be diagnosed with Covid-19 this month.
Hamzah's office, in a statement, said the minister took a test yesterday and his results returned positive.
It also urged all of his close contacts between Jan 8 and Jan 11 to get tested for the virus.
"Throughout the treatment and quarantine period, Hamzah will continue to monitor and ensure that the ministry functions smoothly," the statement read.
The entire cabinet had gone for a Covid-19 test after two other ministers became infected.
On Jan 10, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Mustapa Mohamed's office confirmed he was infected with the virus.
A day later, Women, Family, and Community Development Minister Rina Harun's office also confirmed she was down with Covid-19.
Health Minister Adham Baba was quoted by Bernama as saying that apart from the three ministers, all other cabinet members tested negative for the virus.
To date, a total of four ministers have caught the virus.
