A 42-year-old 'Datuk' and his friend have been remanded for two days from today on suspicion of assaulting and threatening a man at a hotpot restaurant in Tropicana Avenue, Petaling Jaya here on Tuesday.
Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the remand application for the 'Datuk' and his friend, 39, was made at the Petaling Jaya courts today.
Yesterday, it was reported that the suspects, both businesspersons, were drunk during the incident.
The case was investigated under Sections 323 and 506 of the Penal Code.
Initial investigations found that one of the suspects had allegedly assaulted a restaurant patron who told him he was talking way too loud. - Bernama
