KOTA KINABALU: A new cluster which was detected in Sandakan district on Sunday (Jan 10) is linked to an old folks home there.
State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the Jalan Sibuga cluster has recorded nine cumulative cases.
"The cluster was traced through symptomatic screenings and close contact screenings at Rumah Warga Tua Sri Harapan," he said in a statement on the daily Covid-19 developments in Sabah.
On Sunday, Sabah recorded 403 new cases, bringing the cumulative figure to 40,666 cases. One fatality was recorded in Kota Kinabalu.
The average compliance rate for the conditional MCO currently enforced in Sabah continues to drop further to 94.7%, compared to a high average of 98% before Christmas. - Star
