KUANTAN: Three sections of the East Coast Expressway (LPT1) has been closed to all vehicles due to floods.
In a statement, Anih Bhd, the concessionaire of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway (KLK) and LPT1, said both sides of the expressway at Km113 and Km115 near Temerloh (between Lanchang and Temerloh junction) were impassable to vehicles.
"The emergency, slow and fast lanes at Km113 have been closed due to rising flood waters since 9pm yesterday while Km115 suffered a similar fate at 10am today.
"The stretch between Km84.6 and Km84.7 (between Lanchang and Karak) towards Kuala Lumpur was opened at 9am today but east bound towards Kuantan remains closed," it read.
Anih said road users were advised to delay their travel plans while those on the road were reminded to adhere to instructions by its staff members stationed along the expressway.
