PETALING JAYA: The health ministry reported 35 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database.
The death toll now stands at 29,291
Five of the deaths were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases.
Sarawak and Johor topped the list with six deaths each followed by Perak (5), Terengganu (5), Kelantan (4), Pahang (4), Penang (2), Sabah (2) and Negeri Sembilan (1).
There were no deaths reported in Selangor, Perlis, Melaka, Kedah, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.
As of midnight last night, there were 64,623 active cases, including 554 in intensive care units (ICU), 272 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 5,190 recoveries reported, bringing the total number of those discharged to 2,412,395.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia now stands at 2,506,309. - FMT
