MALACCA POLLS | Bersatu is collecting evidence of vote buying, according to its information chief Wan Saiful Wan Jan.
Wan Saiful said there were allegations that voters are receiving RM400 in bribes to vote for certain candidates for Bemban, Rim, Tanjung Bidara, Pantai Kundor, Duyong, Gadek, Ayer Limau and Rembia.
"I haven't received information if such activities are taking place elsewhere.
"I have asked our activists to collect more evidence so we can lodge a complaint," he wrote on his Facebook page.
Bersatu is fielding candidates under the Perikatan Nasional flag for every seat mentioned by Wan Saiful except for Duyong, where PAS is the PN representative.
Wan Saiful said "money politics" was very bad political culture, adding that those who give bribes, when elected, will behave corruptly.
"Those who offer money for votes today will steal money for themselves eventually.
"I'm confident the people of Malacca will not be duped by such efforts... Let us build a new culture based on integrity through PN," he said.
