Kedah caretaker menteri besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor’s TikTok account is back online and accessible to the public.
Malaysiakini’s check today found that the content on the account is visible on his page once more.
Sanusi (above) previously alleged that his TikTok account was deleted due to the Madani government’s fear of the free press.
He said he was using that platform to answer any accusations and issues brought up by his opponents.
The caretaker menteri besar also claimed that Malaysia was becoming like North Korea under the coalition government.
Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail had said that the government had no power to ban TikTok accounts.
The Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) also confirmed that it had not received any directive from the government to remove Sanusi’s TikTok account.
MCMC clarified that social media platforms can automatically take action against users who violate their community guidelines. - Mkini
