JOHOR BAHRU: A woman returning home after casting her vote in the by-election today was injured when her car was hit by a falling tree.
The incident happened at Jalan Pertahanan, Taman Desa Rahmat, here about 3pm.
Fire and rescue operations chief Shah Rizal Abdul Rahman said Mary Tan, 57, was injured in her left thigh after the tree fell on her car.
She had earlier cast her ballot at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato’ Abdul Rahman Yassin.
The victim was given first aid before being sent to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital for further treatment.
The rescue team used chainsaws to remove the tree blocking the road. - FMT
