Former Bersatu Supreme Council man, ex-Dengkil rep join PKR

Former Bersatu leader Faiz Na’aman (left) and former Dengkil assemblyman Adhif Syan Abdullah have been accepted as PKR members.

PETALING JAYA: Two former Bersatu leaders have joined PKR.

In a Facebook post yesterday, former Bersatu Supreme Council member Faiz Na’aman said he and former Dengkil assemblyman Adhif Syan Abdullah had been accepted as PKR members.

“I am determined to bolster the original struggle of PKR, the people-centric goals of the Selangor government led by menteri besar Amirudin Shari, and the national Malaysia Madani agenda led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim,” he said.

Faiz left Bersatu in August last year, less than a week after criticising party leaders over their choice of candidates for the Selangor state election.

He had questioned the Muhyiddin Yassin-led party’s decision to field those who were defeated in the 15th general election.

He claimed to be among the party’s first 100 members when it was established in 2016.

Adhif was formerly the Selangor Bersatu Youth chief and was elected Dengkil assemblyman in May 2018.

He was not fielded to defend his seat in last year’s state election. - FMT
