KOTA KINABALU: The number of flood evacuees in Telupid and Paitan districts increased to 413 people from 124 families as of 8pm today, compared to 397 people from 119 families as of 8am.
The Sabah Disaster Management Committee Secretariat in a statement said that five temporary relief centres (PPS) were opened in Telupid, housing 350 people from 102 families.
According to the committee, a total of 63 people from 22 families took shelter in two PPS in Paitan.
"The evacuation trend of victims in Telupid and Paitan remains at 8 tonight," said the statement.
Telupid and Paitan are located in the interior of Sabah, over 200 kilometres (km) and over 230km east of Kota Kinabalu respectively. – BERNAMA
