Palestinian ambassador to Malaysia Walid Abu Ali said he has no knowledge of the issue stated in an article by Chinese news agency Xinhua recently, Berita Harian reported.
“Unfortunately, we do not know anything about this,” he said.
Walid was asked to comment on reports that Malaysia will receive 15 of the 60 Palestinian prisoners recently freed by Israel.
On Feb 3, Xinhua quoted Palestinian Prisoners Club’ head Abdullah Zaghari as saying the others will be sent to Turkey, Qatar and Pakistan.
He said 70 prisoners overall are currently in Egypt awaiting their departure to the countries involved, and that discussions are ongoing with other countries to secure hosting for the remaining prisoners. - FMT
