KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has confiscated tables, chairs and other items that were placed illegally along public walkways in Bukit Bintang.
The operation was carried out in areas including Jalan Gading, Jalan Changkat Thambi Dollah, Jalan Brunei and Jalan Bukit Bintang, targeting traders who had placed items on sidewalks and pedestrian paths without approval.
"A total of 10 seizures were carried out under the provisions of the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974 and the Hawker Licensing By-laws (WPKL) 2016.
"Items seized included plastic tables and chairs, umbrellas, clothing and other business equipment," it said in a statement.
DBKL said all seized items were transported to the Seizure Depot at Jalan Lombong, Taman Miharja, Cheras, for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
