Factory supervisor Syahril Nazrul Ruslim is accused of committing the offence at an apartment in Klang on April 6.

Syahril Nazrul Ruslim, 37, nodded in understanding after the charge was read to him before magistrate A Karthiyayini, reported Berita Harian.
No plea was recorded as murder cases fall under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
Syahril is accused of murdering his friend’s nine-month-old son, Muhammad Arsya, at an apartment at Taman Bayu Perdana in Klang at 3.30pm on April 6.
The charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code is punishable by death or 30 to 40 years in prison and a minimum 12 strokes of the rotan, upon conviction.
The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor Nadia Syuhada Rosli, while the accused was unrepresented.
The case has been fixed for mention on July 6, for submission of the forensic report. - FMT
