In North America summer "officially" starts on June 21st - the summer solstice. That is 52 days away. Spring started on March 20th - ie 31 days ago. But surprise the US Weather Service has warned of heavy snowstorms from New Mexico up north to Colorado and into Alaska (meaning Canada is also going to be hit by heavy snow).
This is really late season snow. Here is some news:
