IT has been exposed that the viral offensive post depicting Selangor ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah as a pig is the work of an impostor attempting to further inflame the rift between the palace and DAP in light of the derhaka (disloyalty) accusation levelled at Seri Kembangan state assemblywoman Wong Siew Ki.
This came about as a cartoonist has laid out the evidence of how the fraudster has manipulated the Facebook account of “Huayan The Pureland Learning Centre” with a fake account to disseminate the highly insulting image of Sultan Sharafuddin.
“PDRM (Royal Malaysia Police) is currently tracking Mohd Taufik,” claimed cartoonist Ariff Eye Ahmad ™ (@KartunisGandum) in a post on X.

(This is for the) offence of editing and disseminating an image with a pig’s face and editing [sic] a Chinese NGO as the sender (as evident) in the screenshot.
Such modus operandi is intended to cause racial unrest with the intention to show that PDRM is weak and are biased/selective by not acting against non-Muslims (but quick to act against the Malays for any wrongdoings).

For the uninitiated, Huayan Amitabha Pure Land Learning Centre is a Buddhist centre in Taman Bukit Serdang, Selangor that promotes Mahayana teachings and operates under the guidance of Master Chin Kung by focusing on chanting and Pure Land practices.
To re-cap, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) had on Tuesday (April 27) hauled up administrator of the “HuaYan The Pureland Learning Centre” FB account over the offensive 3R (race, religion, royalty)-related content.
The case is being investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 which provides for a maximum fine of RM500,000 or imprisonment of up to two years or both upon conviction.
“Police are also probing the matter under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948 and Section 504 of the Penal Code which carry penalties of a fine not exceeding RM5,000, a prison term of up to three years or both,” the multimedia watchdog pointed out in a statement.
“Additionally, Section 504 of the Penal Code provides for a fine, imprisonment for a term of up to two years or both.”

Added MCMC: “The public is reminded to use social media responsibly. Any offensive, seditious or defamatory content, especially involving the royal institution, will be dealt with firmly under the law.”
Interestingly, Muslim convert preacher Firdaus Wong Wai Hung had on Sunday (April 26) already red-flagged the porky post.
“I also received the same comment from this ‘page’ which insulted the Sultan of Selangor,” he revealed in a FB post.
However, I found that the ‘page’ is a ‘fake account’ and not the real account belonging to Huayan The Pureland Learning Centre.
I could have chosen to remain silent and let chaos happen BUT I’m a Muslim. Islam teaches me to be fair in every situation.
I can’t remain silent when I know the truth and need to be consistent with that principle.
I ask all friends to be careful with those who try to stir up unrest by issuing comments like this using fake accounts!
Thanking the Multiracial Reverted Muslims (MRM) founder for his thoughtful sharing, a commenter aptly pointed to the illogic of “Huayan The Pureland Learning Centre” championing pig farming in Selangor as the NGOs and its followers are “staunch Buddhists who never touch meat what more pork”.

Perhaps now is the time for Selangor DAP to turn the table on detractors who have called for Wong “to get out of Selangor” ort be suspended for 12 months from the Selangor state assembly for defying Sultan Sharafuddin’s decree to ban hog rearing in the state (just stick to import). – Focus Malaysia
