Perak defections from UMNO Assemblymen seems to be imminent since their displeasure with the Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir, but as usual MONEY WILL TALK, and the people can expect some special lottery draws to take place soon to finance these 'frogs'. Get ready for it.
So PERAKIANS don't get excited yet. NO DISSOLUTION OF STATE ASSEMBLY YET.

KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — Perak Pakatan Rakyat leaders today asserted that they were against defections as a method to recapture the state government, stressing instead that disgruntled Barisan Nasional assemblymen should seek for state dissolution.
Former Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin confirmed talk that several Umno assemblymen had approached him with their grievances but claimed that the Perak PR would not repeat the coup launched by its foes in the BN last year.
“We in the Perak PR welcome those who are unhappy with Umno-BN or with (Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr) Zambry’s (Abd Kadir) leadership.
“We urge them to go ahead if they are unhappy, and inform their leadership of their unhappiness and then urge or request Zambry to table a no-confidence motion in the state assembly,” Nizar (picture) said.
The Perak PR’s stand, however, appears to go against that of its national partners. After Election 2008, PR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim himself had revealed his infamous Sept 16 plan where he claimed that the fledgling coalition would take over the Putrajaya administrative capital through a spate of defections by Umno MPs.
Today, however, Nizar described defections as “political prostitution”.
“We do not agree with it. We reject this scenario of jumping. That is what Umno does. It is undemocratic and unconstitutional and we do not want to play that game.
“We want the people to choose their own government. The state legislative assembly should be dissolved, you cannot simply jump here and there — it polluted the political system of the country. We want the true democratic process to be restored,” he said.
He also denied that any of his PR colleagues had a hand in enticing the Umno assemblymen to defect.
“We reject these rumours and we categorically deny that it is the role of the PR to influence these assemblymen and ask them to defect to our side.
“No, that is not our principle. We are saying that if they are unhappy they should speak to their leadership and urge for a motion of no confidence to be tabled in the assembly and seek for either elections to be held in their respective constituencies or for snap elections to be held in the state.
“This will finally solve the impasse that has beleaguered our state for the past two years now,” he said.
Nizar would not, however, identify the purported Umno assemblymen, explaining that this was a part of a strategy.
“As a matter of strategy, we cannot reveal their names. It is inappropriate,” he said, adding that he did not know when the purported Umno representatives planned to defect.
Perak PKR recently released a statement claiming that three Umno assemblymen would soon defect, citing reasons that they were unhappy with Zambry’s leadership.
Zambry has since denied the claim
