PBS WILL STICK WITH BN



GREETED.... PBS President Joseph Pairin Kitingan being greeted by PBS Youths when he arrives for the 27th PBS Annual General Meeting at Tambunan held at the Tambunan Resort and Country Club.

PAIRIN stressed that the 27th Annual General Meeting in Tambunan is not just marking the number of years PBS has been involved in the party's struggle, but is a testament of the party's commitment to champion the welfare and rights of the people of Sabah.

He said what PBS has done is in keeping with the policies and programmes of Prime Minister Najib Razak and his commitment to fulfil the promises that have been made.

"The party leadership and rank-and-file members remain strongly united in BN, as only BN is capable of championing the interests of Sabah's diverse communities represented by the BN's component parties,” he said.

“On behalf of the PBS leadership, I want to stress that the journey of our continuous struggle must be together with the BN. Together under BN there is much progress and development that we want to bring to the people, especially those in remote areas.”

Some 511 members of Parti Bersatu Sabah in Tambunan turned up to show their support for PBS and the party President.

Touching on development, Pairin who is also Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Infrastructure said the Economic Transformation Programme ETP) has brought tremendous changes in Tambunan. Large development allocations have been pumped in to develop Tambunan and provide facilities and amenities such as road, water and electricity.

“Sabahans, particularly those in the Tambunan district should continue to support and have confidence in the programs and policies of Prime Minister Najib Razak. The Prime Minister is keen to transform the country into a developed and high-income economy by 2020 through the ETP,” Pairin said. (Insight Sabah)
