Freddie Joseph, the 20 month-old boy abducted from his mother's home in Bangsar yesterday, has been found at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa at noon today.
The boy who looked exhausted and hungry was found by lorry driver Hamid Md Isa, 57, who was passing the area at about 12.20pm.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) retireee said on seeing a boy walking alone, he led the boy to the edge of the field for a rest.
Freddie Joseph was clad in a green shirt and white pants.
Taxi driver Haris Mohd Nor, 48, who was also in the vicinity bought some crackers and a packet drink for Freddie.
"I just read a newspaper report that a boy was abducted. I could not believe that he is that boy.
"When I approached him, he kept quiet but was not that scared. He looked very exhausted," he told Bernama when met at the scene.
Zakaria said he was on the way home after exercising in the park when he saw a group of people surrounding a boy.
"I sensed that the boy was the one abducted yesterday as he did not look local. I phoned and seend his photograph to a Bernama reporter to verify if he was that boy."
Identity of baby confirmed
The Bernama reporter then sent the photograph to a friend of the boy's mother named Robert who confirmed that it was the boy abducted yesterday.
The police arrived shortly at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa and took Freddie to the Jalan Tun Razak police station.
In the 6.10pm incident yesterday, a boy was abducted by a man and a woman who arrived at Sarah's house in a white Toyota Camry.
Sarah, 38, who was feeding Freddie outside the house had gone briefly inside after hearing some noise.
On returning, she was shocked to find that a man had snatched Freddie and screamed for help.
The British language teacher suffered injury to the right hand after she grappled with the man.
