A protest will be held in Putrajaya if the Kuala Lumpur City Hall does not restore and beautify the Sri Muneswarar Kaliyaman temple, said the MIC, adding that it will never compromise on matters relating to the Hindu religion and Indian community.
The last I read on the issue of the Sri Muneswarar Kaliyaman temple, MIC wanted to hold a protest in Putrajaya if the Kuala Lumpur City Hall does not restore and beautify the temple. I believe that we should actually organise English lessons to help educate our Federal
Territories Minister and our MIC heroes.
Territories Minister and our MIC heroes.
“It’s a shrine not a temple”, “It’s a temple not a shrine”. Oh My God! Please stop sounding like idiots. They basically mean the same thing!
Essentially, temple is the synonym of shrine and vice versa. Granite statue or no granite statue... I don’t know what you are going on about.
Now that we have completed English 101, let’s move on to Common Sense 101.
“Tengku Adnan also said the priest visited the 'shrine' prior to Deepavali and found only six worshippers”.
Okay... your point sir?
You visited probably once... and you found six worshippers. Does that give you the right to demolish the temple?
If it was an observation that has been done for a period of time and we are given the average number of people that visits the temple on a weekly basis, maybe then your point is valid. Common sense much?
Moving on, lesson number three, Get your facts right 101. “Front for illegal activities after a Hindu priest reported to him that hard liquor was found in the premises.”
Seriously?! Before I get into the whole “it’s best to leave matters of religion to the experts or at least to their practitioner”, I would really like to set a few things straight. What illegal activities? Who is this priest who reported to you? Disgrace to the Hindu religion... a priest told you that?
Fantastic now I shall get into the second matter. It is a norm for Hindus to offer liquor to Lord Muneswara, this has been practised since the olden days until this very day. So please check your facts before yapping away giving press statements.
“Prior to the demolition work, Tengku Adnan said notices were handed out to the temple committees but they refused to budge. Temple caretakers and MIC leaders, however, today denied receiving any notice.”
Again, good sir, proof! Now it’s just your words against theirs... which is essentially POINTLESS.
As a citizen and a fellow Hindu, I don’t care what the government promised us in the last election as they have been proving themselves to be an incompetent bunch by making all these ridiculous statements.
I honestly doubt they have the capacity to actually make a difference as it would be a mentally challenging activity for them to even make sense.
Well, common sense is not so common anymore, is it now?
