Despite promises to review, Malaysia begins collecting NEW toll rates at Johor CIQ

JOHOR BARU - The new toll rates at the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex (CIQ) at the Sultan Iskandar Building started at 12.01 today..

Traffic along the Causeway was normal for both in-bound and out-bound lanes despite the implementation of the new toll charges via the Touch n' Go system.

The CIQ operations with the new toll charges started off without facing much difficulties from motorists.

The new toll charges were announced last week by the Malaysian Highway Authority.

The rates are RM9.70 and RM6.80 for in-bound and out-bound cars respectively. -NST
