PAS assistant secretary-general said it wasn’t appropriate for certain parties to sue as they did not understand the subject matter.
“We understand that a political party has filed a lawsuit against the state government recently.
“For me this is ‘not gentlemanly’ because they do not understand the matter and it has not yet been passed (when the suit was filed last Wednesday) but yet they continue to take it to the court,” he said.
Takiyuddin, who is also PAS assistant secretary-general, told this reporters here today.
Gerakan’s legal team had filed in the Kota Bharu High Court an originating summons against the state government to challenge the code’s constitutionality.
The suit was filed on March 18, the same day the enactment was tabled in the state legislative assembly.
