Home Ministry appoints new Special Branch director effective today

The Home Ministry has appointed Datuk Seri Mohamad Fuzi Harun as the new Special Branch director to replace Datuk Seri Akhil Bulat who has retired at the age of 62.

Mohamad Fuzi (pic, left) was previously Royal Malaysian Police Management Department director.

Akhil was on a year-to-year contract after exceeding the retirement age.

His contract ends on August 17 and he is currently on three weeks’ retirement leave.

Akhil had been in the police force for 38 years.
