Masidi Manjun says he's almost certain that the Sabah Speaker will become a federal minister.
PETALING JAYA: Sabah state minister Masidi Manjun today predicted that Sabah Speaker Salleh Said Keruak will be appointed to the Federal Cabinet.
In two tweets today, the Sabah Minister for Tourism, Culture and Environment posted a picture of Salleh with the caption, “Speaker of Sabah State Assembly DS Salleh Said Keruak tipped to be appointed Minister in a Cabinet reshuffle today.”
In an interview with FMT, he said he was “90 per cent” confident that Salleh would become a federal minister.
“I was speculating,” he said of his tweets. “But I think he has more than even chance.”
Salleh, 58, was the Sabah Chief Minister from December 1994 to May 1995. Before that, he served as Deputy Chief Minister and State Finance Minister.
