AMAZING UMNO: Now, Lenggeng rep NO LONGER a bankrupt - court

SEREMBAN - The High Court here Monday set aside the bankruptcy declaration on Lenggeng State Assemblyman, Datuk Ishak Ismail.

This followed the settlement of the balance of the loan of RM400,000 against the judgment creditor, Datuk Misran Sukadi, last Tuesday.

Ishak's counsel, CS Murtti said Judge Datuk Kamaludin Md Said, made the decision in his chambers just now.

"As far as the court is concerned, the matter is over.

"The jurisdiction and receiving order has been set aside, meaning Datuk Ishak is no more a bankrupt," he told reporters when met outside the court.

Ishak, 64, was earlier declared a bankrupt by the Court's Senior Assistant Registrar on March 18 after he failed to pay the loan to Misran amounting to RM2mil.

Meanwhile, Ishak said he was thankful because the case that had been dragging on since March this year had been resolved amicably.
