Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had an audience with Johor's Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar today, reported The Star Online.
The news portal said Najib met with the Johor ruler for an hour at Istana Bukit Serene.
It said the two had lunch at Danga Bay and toured the projects along the Johor Baru coastline, which consisted mainly of developments by Chinese developer Country Garden.
The portal said this was Najib's first meeting with Sultan Ibrahim after the Cabinet reshuffle at the end of July when the prime minister dropped his deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is Pagoh MP.
It added that Najib would be attending an Umno event in Muar this evening.
After Muhyiddin was dropped from cabinet, he had an audience with the sultan.
As the nation celebrated Malaysia Day on September 16, which was also the day of the red shirt rally, the Sultan had in no uncertain terms ordered racists and haters to get out of his state.
In a posting on his Facebook page, he said: "Let me reiterate, there is no place for hatred and racism here in Johor Darul Ta’zim. It was never welcomed, nor will I ever welcome haters and racists here in Johor.
"If anyone who want to practise hatred and racism in Johor Darul Ta’zim, the home of the Malays, Chinese and Indians – Bangsa Johor, please leave Johor immediately. That is an order!"
The sultan had also previously warned politicians not to intervene in palace affairs or make statements related to the palace.
His son, Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Tunku Ibrahim, has also been vocal on current issues, including the state of Malaysian football.
