Form One student assaulted by schoolmates in Dungun

A Form One student was punched and kicked by several others at a secondary school in Dungun on Monday.

In the 8.10am incident, the victim, from Paka, sustained injuries to the face, swollen lip and a broken tooth.

Dungun police chief Supt Ahmad Zailani Yaacub said the suspects were picked up on the day of the incident to facilitate investigations.

In the incident, the victim was in his classroom when he was approached by a male student who asked him to go to the stairs located on the third floor of the school building.

Upon reaching the stairs, the victim was confronted by a group of students before he was dragged, punched and kicked him in the face.

The boy sought treatment at a health clinic.
