Pagoh Umno division vice-chief Shahruddin Md Salleh has resigned from his post, according to Berita Harian.
His resignation is of immediate effect.
However, Shahruddin would remain as the Jorak state assemblyperson.
Pagoh Umno was previously headed by former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who was sacked from the party on June 24.
